If you are a Student and a Staff Member

If you are a student and have also been employed by the University (or have your Scholarship paid to you by the University), you will have both a student and staff username and email address.

Your staff username will have the format:

    [first initial of givenname] [first five characters of your familyname] [two digits]
This means that a person called Nona Smithsonian will have the username nsmith01. If there is another person with the same name or someone called Nona Smith, then one of them would have the username nsmith02.

Your staff email address will generally have the format:

    givenname.familyname@adelaide.edu.au
    eg nona.smithsonian@adelaide.edu.au

In some cases your email address may vary slightly from this format, for example where you have the same given name and family name as someone else. In this case you will be informed of your email address. Typically, the initial of your middle name will be added to your email address, for example nona.j.smithsonian@adelaide.edu.au

What Do you Need to Do?

When Using MyUni
When you login to MyUni you must use your staff username and password instead of your student username.

Setup Your Student and Staff Mailboxes
As you will now have both a staff and student email account you need to read email which is sent to both mailboxes. There are various ways to do this. Please see the section on Working with more than one Mailbox for more details.
